The Hemet Public Library Bookstore offers a wide selection of gently used books at great prices. From children’s stories to fiction, nonfiction, and more, it’s a perfect stop for readers and bargain hunters alike. Proceeds support local programs, making every purchase a gift to the community. Everyone needs a few good friends, even a public library. Since 1962 the Friends of Hemet Public Library have supported the library in developing its facilities, collections, and services. Through library advocacy, special used book sales, sales in their library bookshop, and small fundraising activities, the Friends stimulate greater public support and use of the Library. Donating Material The Hemet Friends of the Library accept all donations during the hours of 10 am to 3 pm Wednesday through Saturday. Please do not leave your donations outside the library as the "Good Stuff" is taken before the Friends and the Library have an opportunity to accept them. Remember, your donations are tax deductible, so be sure to pick up a form from the Friends. For large donations, please contact the Friends so that they may be prepared to help you.
